SRC 8 (ONE POSITION)

Job Summary
The position will be responsible to the Assistant Director Procurement.


Duties and Responsibilities
  • Update records and manage inventory
  • Prepare report on unserviceable, obsolete stores for disposal.
  • Prepare budget for the procurement department.
  • Establish and implement internal controls systems and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and review of the Supplies Manual.
  • Assist to prepare annual procurement plan and implementation of the same.
  • Assist in the taking of minutes of the procurement committee.
  • Prepare and maintain database of approved suppliers.
  • Prepare quotation documents for various procurements.
  • Assists prepare contract documents for various procurements.
  • Verify the Local purchase Orders to ensure they are accurate and that the orders have been raised as per the approval from the Procurement/Tender committee.
  • Assist in technical and financial evaluation of Bid documents.
  • Supervise handing-over process to ensure that services are provided without interruption and the Officers concerned take full responsibility of their duties.
  • Verify Supplier statements, invoices, Pro Forma Invoices and delivery notes, before they are forwarded to Finance Department.
  • Ensure safe custody of the filled-up Local Purchase Order books, Quotations, Correspondence and any other accountable documents.
  • Implement procurement procedures and policies.
  • Implement e-government and other procurement procedures. Any other duties that the SRC Management may assign.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven work experience of at least two years in procurement function.
  • Diploma in Supplies Management or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Membership to the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM).
  • Certificate in Computer application skills.
