are looking for a highly talented Business Development Managers, with solid
hunting credentials, to support our client’s growth ambitions in Tanzania.
The Job
The role of a Business Development
Manager is to continuously improve the organization’s market position whilst
achieving financial growth. They are involved in driving the organizational
strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business
opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive
knowledge of current market conditions.
They work with other senior managers to increase sales opportunities and
thereby maximize revenue for their organization.
Purpose of Role
- Lead the Business Commercialization Agenda for assigned clients or segment and achieve the company revenue targets
- To provide direction on client’s objectives and follow up to ensure quality is up-to expectation
- To spearhead innovations and fresh ideas that will deliver incremental business
Key Accountabilities
A. New Business
Development & Revenue Growth
q You will develop and implement strategies that lead to achievement of your set business targets
q You will identify and lead the “knock on Doors” campaign to acquire new business Opportunities/clients
q
You
will constantly analyze business performance versus targets and seek to bridge
any gaps
B. Building Great
and Genuine Relationships
q
In
the spirit of serving our clients, you will constantly seek for opportunities
to add value to our clients brands
q
You
will endeavour to get regular formal and informal meetings to propose new ideas
or value propositions
q Ensure quality of reports are sent to clients on
time
C. Freshness
You
will achieve this through
q Innovation:-
Working with creative as well as other
Team members, constantly seek for fresh and new to world experiences
q
You
are in tune with local and world market trends and seeking great ideas to link
these to our clients brands
D. Admin and
Finances
q
You
will lead in costing of projects and ensure its win-win budget for both clients
and the company.

Follow
up to ensure timely Revenue Collection
The Person
Min
of 1st degree, additional commercial/business courses will be an
added advantage
Experience
- +3 years in a Sales/ Commercial environment
- Mastery in the principals of sales and marketing
- Is a competitive sales person, who takes a direct and outgoing style towards results
- Is expedient with a desire to close sales and produce quick results
- Knows how to communicate and has excellent skills to create networks of contacts and acquaintances
- Excellence in Proposal writing, and ideation
- Brand building and Innovation
- Well developed Insight generation.
- Demonstrate high integrity and honesty.
- Experience in FMCG or Marketing agency will be an added advantage.
