Job Summary

An officer at this level will be responsible to the Deputy Director, Policy and Planning for:


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Carrying out economic analysis to inform remuneration policies.
  • Collecting and presenting statistical data in the form of survey reports and bulletin.
  • Analyzing statistics and producing accurate forecast for planning purposes.
  • Assisting in preparation of departmental work plans.
  • Collecting data on economic planning and any other relevant fields that are relevant to the Commission mandate.

Minimum Requirements
  • Proven relevant experience of at least three (3) years in public or private sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following discipline; Economics, Statistics, Business Administration or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Leadership and integrity qualities as set out in sixth chapter of the constitution and demonstrated compliance to the Public service Values and principle as defined in the constitution.
  • Been conversant with Public Service Policies and practices on remuneration systems.
  • Have a good understanding of the Kenyan labour laws.
  • Demonstrated competencies capability in handling remuneration matters.

  • Ability to appropriately communicate sensitive information.
  • Ability to work under pressure/deadlines.
  • Have strong analytical, verbal and written skills.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant computer packages.
