Our client has an outstanding career opportunity for a General Manager – Operations to join their company. They are East Africa’s leading advertising and Image Company. They focus is developing strategic advertising, printing, branding, supply, manufacture, installation and maintenance of all types of indoor and outdoor signage and promotional materials.

Position Overview

Oversee all areas of the company’s outdoor operations, provide leadership in new site acquisitions, develop and implement identified advertising infrastructure, provide direction in operations’ administrative logistics, be involved in the management of local authority /county relationships and outdoor assets management both locally and within the region. Working closely with the Sales Team and with knowledge of key business development practices and its impact on company growth, the position holder will be responsible for identifying outdoor project opportunities and turning them into successful business accounts.


Operations General Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Operations and Marketing functions and give support and advise in activities that will lead to meeting clients’ needs profitably thereby gaining a competitive edge over competitors
  • Gather Market information in the industry that will help the company in drafting strategies to defend and maintain its leadership position e.g. market share, product range, positioning, entrants and exits, industry trends and forecasting.
  • Identify projects and opportunities that are in line with our outdoor business, evaluating their commercial viability and making proposals and following through to award e.g. Billboards, street lighting and High masts among others
  • Provide commercial support to the business development and sales initiative e.g. implementation of new ideas developed to meet sales needs.
  • Building of long term mutual profitable relationships e.g. with the Clients, Landlords, Ministry and County officials.
  • Driving new sites acquisition, outdoor assets management and maintenance.

Requirements for the Operations General Manager Jobs in Kenya

  • Relevant business degree with a strong commercial and marketing background
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a senior management position preferably in the advertising sector.
  • Proven positive work ethic, great customer skills, exceptional leadership and the ability to lead from the front and demand for results.
  • Excellent relationship building with exceptional interpersonal skills and street SMART.
