The Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) is a state corporation established under The Engineers Act, 2011 (No. 43) with the mandate to oversee the registration of engineers and engineering firms, regulation of engineering professional services, setting of standards, development and general practice of Engineering. EBK will contribute to the transformation of the engineering service which will be expected to function effectively and innovatively in a results- oriented and accountable manner.
EBK is seeking to recruit a creative, proactive, detail oriented and tenacious Kenyan citizen with the ability to quickly adapt to a dynamic work environment to fill in the following position:-
Engineers Board of Kenya Jobs: Internal Audit Manager
(EBK Grade 6)
Reporting administratively to CEO/Registrar and functionally to the Audit Committee of the Board.The Internal Audit Manager is responsible for:-
- Overseeing review and development of audit policies, techniques and procedures and ensure comprehensive audits are undertaken.
- Implement the Board’s internal audit strategy, policies and procedures;
- Formulate and evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems.
- Report and communicate audit findings to the management and to the Board audit committee
- Approve audit programmes and issues audit report queries and observations to the Registrar
- Carry out risk identification assessment and audit and audit planning for high risk areas within the Boards area of operation
- Provide assurance that all board’s activities comply with the GOK and the Boards policies and the internal control procedures are adequately defined.
- Liaise / coordinate with external auditors on the Board’s financial and systems audit
- Bachelors Degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Business Management.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K)
- Member of a relevant professional body.
- Three (3) years Experience in a senior position as an auditor;
- Excellent communications and IT skills
- Proven leadership skills, creative and innovative.
Familiarity with Public Finance Management Act 2012 and Government of Kenya Financial regulations.
