The Public Service Board of Machakos County wishes to recruit competent
and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions as per the
Constitution of Kenya 2010 Chapter 11 Section 235 and the County
Government Act 2012 Sections 66 and 62.
DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND EMERGENCY SERVICES
Reporting to the Nutrition & Diatetic Officer,the officer will-;
Duties and responsibilities.
- Implementing nutrition programmes.
- Providing nutrition services in health care facilities
- Conducting assessment
- Collecting and compiling nutrition data
- Providing nutrition on health education &; demonstrations
- Counseling of patients with specific national needs
- Implementing outpatient &; inpatient supplementary and therapeutic feeding programmes
- Promoting maternal, infant and young children feeding programmes and providing micronutrients supplementation
Requirements for Appointment
- Be a holder of a Diploma In Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition of Nutrition & Dietetics or its equivalent qualification from a recognized training institution.
- At Least (2) years working experience part of which should have been in a hospital setup.
- Be registered & licensed by the Council of the Institute of Nutritionists &; Dieticians (CIND)
Salary and Remuneration:
Basic Salary Kshs. 19,323 - 24,662 p.m.
Other allowance as per Public Service Commission of Kenya
