Details

The Public Service Board of Machakos County wishes to recruit competent
and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions as per the
Constitution of Kenya 2010 Chapter 11 Section 235 and the County
Government Act 2012 Sections 66 and 62.

DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND EMERGENCY SERVICES

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER-JG„R‟ –(1) POST : REF: MKS/CPSB/2015/13

Reporting to the chief officer,the holder will be the head of Level (5)
hospital.He/she will be expected to perform:-

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans and sector development goals.
• Develop and implement policies and regulations.
• Provide strategic policy and leadership direction for effective service delivery at the hospital.
• Formulate and implement effective programs to attain vision 2030 and sector goals.
• Make sure all the Hospital operations are running smoothly.
• Responsible for complying with legal and regulatory requirements, products, and service delivery.
• Upholding quality standands and ensuring the organization financial health
• Serve as an advisor and policy administrator .
• Ensure compliance with National values and principles of good governance as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya.
• Any other duty as assigned.

Requirements for appointment:

• Master’s degree in leadership and strategic management/MBA from a
• recognized university.
• Vast knowledge and experience of not less than five (5) years in health
• care provision will be an added advantage .
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of County development objectives
• and Vision 2030.
• Be a strategic thinker and result oriented.
• Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal skillsand
• ability to communicate publicly
• Capacity to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work in a multi- ethnic environment with sensitivity and
• respect for diversity.
• Demonstrate understanding and commitment to the values and principles
• as outlined in Articles 10 and 232 of the Constitution of Kenya.
• Prove registration with the relevant professional body.
• Proficiency in Computer Applications.

Salary and Remuneration

Salary Scale: Kshs. 109,089 – 144,928 p.m
Other allowance as per Public Service Commission of Kenya
recommendations for Job Group’R’
Terms of Service: Contract.
