Job Title: Sales Manager – Interior design

Salary: 100 – 150K basic plus commissions

Our client is recently set up international company in Kenya that specializes in supply of building materials and contracting of interior design work for high end residential and commercial projects.

They have subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Kenya is the 1st branch in Africa. They seek to hire a Sales Manager who will increase their client base, manage clients and penetrate and open new markets. Kenyan Asians are encouraged to apply


Sales Manager Job Key responsibilities
  • Develops, and implements an integrated range of marketing concepts and methodologies; plans and develops marketing and sales strategies consistent with the overall goals and objectives of the business.
  • Proactively identify prospects, qualifying them, introducing them, determining their requirements, through cold and warm calls, direct sales, networking to create and maintaining referral agents, social media and other channels.
  • Conducts on-site and off-site meetings with sales leads and potential customers, and provide assistance/consultancy in closing the deal.
  • Provide market research and analysis; prepare research-based reports and sales forecasts for senior management.
  • Develop and manage annual sales and operating budgets, and regularly monitors performance to budget parameters.
  • Acquire key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in more detail with clients and explain how the company works to gain trust to earn the business.
  • Achieve and exceed targets and objectives mutually agreed upon with Head of Sales.
  • Initiates, prepares and negotiate proposals with customers for products and services.
  • Monitor established contacts to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develops potential customer lists to identify new sales opportunities using available information and through market research.
  • Attends weekly sales meeting and providing sales report to CEO.
  • Represents the enterprise at conferences, meetings, exhibits, and other special events; promotes new and existing programs and initiatives.
  • Liaises with operations and projects departments regarding execution and logistics of won projects.
  • Arranges final handover and sign off of projects
  • Arranges to get and analyze feedback from customers

Requirements for Sales Manager Jobs in Kenya
  • Bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing or related field
  • Preferably a lady, at least 28 yrs old
  • Working sales experience not less than 5 years in the Construction materials industry & Interior decoration materials.
  • Extra if having Architecture or Interior design background
  • Working knowledge of MS office suite
  • Should possess a car and a valid driving license

Skills
  • Ability to develop and implement comprehensive marketing goals, strategies, and plans.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Should be presentable and well composed
  • Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of sales and marketing principles, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range sales goals.
  • Knowledge of market research and sales forecasting principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative environment and to work in a collegial fashion with peers in other organizational units.
  • Ability to develop and manage sales and operating budgets.
  • Ability to compile and analyze statistical data, draws inferences, and prepares strategic and operational reports and recommendations.
  • Advanced direct sales skills.
