Reporting to the Senior Manager Communications & Partnerships the Corporate Communications Officer will develop and implement effective corporate communication and outreach strategies for the Foundation’s internal and external stakeholders to raise awareness and understanding of AATF and its operations and position AATF as a key contributor to Sub Saharan Africa’s( SSA) agricultural development
Corporate Communications Job Key responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation and monitoring of Foundation communications strategies and plans including Unit budgets.
- Edit scientific and technical reports, providing comments for accuracy, clarity and style
- Coordinate printing of technical and non-technical communication materials
- Support and guide effective and efficient public awareness and marketing campaigns in Sub Saharan Africa.
- Cultivate and ensure healthy working relationships with the media
- Develop appropriate knowledge products based on the Foundation’s experiences and promising practices for use by stakeholders.
- Provide technical and coordination support in the Foundation’s Public Relations events.
- Provide departmental support for design and graphics in line with AATF guidelines.
Qualifications for Corporate Communications Jobs in Kenya
- Suitable candidates must have a Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or any other relevant field.
- Candidates must also have five (5) years relevant experience in public relations and communications with special emphasis on working with the media.
- A good understanding of SSA agricultural environment; experience in knowledge management and and fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement.
- Working knowledge of French is an added advantage.
AATF offers a competitive salary and benefits package, and a collegial and gender-sensitive working environment. The employment contract is for an initial period of 2 years, renewable subject to performance and availability of funding.
