Our client, a leading financial institution in East Africa that engages in providing corporate and retail banking services is seeking to recruit a qualified, experienced and a highly ambitious candidate for their Nairobi branch:-
Bank Teller
Reporting to the Bank Manager, the Bank Teller will be responsible for provision of teller services.
Bank Teller Job Principal Accountabilities
- Receiving and counting working cash at the beginning of the shift and close of the business at the end of the day
- Ensuring compliance with all internal controls and established policies and procedures
- Recording all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with the bank procedures
- Processing cash withdrawals
- Receiving and verifying loan payments, mortgage payments and utility bill payments
- Examining cheques for endorsements and verifying other information such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments and the legality of the documents.
- Degree in business related course preferably Finance or Accounting option
- Experience in banking operations with at least 2 years’ working experience
- High level of integrity
- Good communication & interpersonal skills
- Quick problem solver with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision
