Our client, a leading financial institution in East Africa that engages in providing corporate and retail banking services is seeking to recruit a qualified, experienced and a highly ambitious candidate for their Nairobi branch:-

Bank Teller

Reporting to the Bank Manager, the Bank Teller will be responsible for provision of teller services.
Bank Teller Job Principal Accountabilities
  • Receiving and counting working cash at the beginning of the shift and close of the business at the end of the day
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal controls and established policies and procedures
  • Recording all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with the bank procedures
  • Processing cash withdrawals
  • Receiving and verifying loan payments, mortgage payments and utility bill payments
  • Examining cheques for endorsements and verifying other information such as dates, bank names, identification of the persons receiving payments and the legality of the documents.
Key Qualifications and Experience for Bank Teller Jobs in Kenya
  • Degree in business related course preferably Finance or Accounting option
  • Experience in banking operations with at least 2 years’ working experience
  • High level of integrity
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills
  • Quick problem solver with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision
