Kengen Communication Job Job Summary:

    The jobholder will lead the social media agenda together with the Corporate Affairs team and develop new avenues to further crystalize the company’s footprints on the web

Key Duties
  • Desktop publishing e.g. Publisher, PageMaker, In Design, Illustrator etc.
  • Web design and publishing
  • Development and implementation of projects aimed at identifying new innovative digital products such as new web sites, Apps, Portals and other web-based communications solutions.
  • Take a leading role in digital communications convergence in conjunction with MD&CEO’s office, relevant stakeholders and authorities.
  • Moderate social media platforms and objectively handle potential negative feedback.

Occasional duties:

  • The jobholder is responsible over a computer, fax, printer and digital camera.
  • The jobholder is responsible over budget management explaining variances on a monthly basis for CSR activities. Judgement and Decision-Making
  • The job holder can make routine decisions within laid down procedures. Any matter out of the ordinary is referred to the immediate supervisor.
  • The job holder may occasionally provide procedural company information to staff with regard to branding and communications

Educational Requirements for Communication Jobs in Kenya


    University degree from a recognized institution with a bias to Mass Communications, Marketing Communications, Public Relations, ICT or a related professionalfield.

Related Job Experience/Qualifications
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar role Additional skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact and diplomacy skills.
  • Strong organisation skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise, pay attention to detail and work with minimum supervision.
  • Proficiency in use of MSoffice applications.
  • Influencing and persuasion skills.
  • Event management skills.

Work environment:
The jobholder works 50% of his time in the outdoors and 50% outdoors; with minor exposure to hazards. The job is physically demanding at a minor level with minor disruption to leisure.
