Civil Maintenance Engineer Principal Accountabilities

• Plan and allocate work to staff.
• Undertake major maintenance, modifications and upgrades of civil works and provide leadership to the Works Teams.
• Supervise the work of contractors and their staff.
• Requisition materials from the stores and issue to maintenance teams.
• Continually assess the competence of the maintenance team and offer the necessary coaching support to team members.
• Ensure compliance with technical and SHE standards together with general regulations and procedures.
• Lead, guide and train others so that all civil engineering work is done in the most effective way in terms of cost, timescale, SHE and technical viability.
• Plan and prepare for civil engineering work so that such work can be carried out in the most timely and effective way.
• May be required to prepare engineering drawings for planned work, from time to time.
• Stay abreast of technical developments and trends in the field of civil engineering

Knowledge/Skills/Experience for Civil Maintenance Engineer Kenya Job

•     HND in civil engineering
•     Proven experience in township and road maintenance
•     Involvement in minor civil related projects
•     At least three years experience in a similar role
•     Good communication, interpersonal, leadership and planning skills

Special Features

    Familiar with computer engineering design packages
    Team working and ability to network effectively
